Once you have decided to vacation with us, you can come and enjoy our river with its natural pools and waterfalls. There is also a gorge ready for you to discover. EL PICNIC is a wonderful relaxed spot just waiting for you to order at the large outdoor kitchen and bar, where we offer cool drinks and food. The lush gardens, singing birds, the bonfire, a beautiful outdoor cinema, the lounge with boardgames and outdoor grill area are waiting for you.
*Sadly, our river dries up during dry season due to the lack of rain.

Our restaurant and bar at the Hotel EL PICNIC ATITLÁN is exclusive for the guests of the hotel. There you will receive a high quality meal and prepared daily especially for you. Eggs from happy chickens, organic coffee from the region, seasonal fruits and vegetables, tender meat and homemade bread.

Because we are located on a rocky mountain, our property could be inconvenient for people with mobility difficulties.
Guests 16 and under cannot stay at this adults-only property. All guests 16 years and older are welcome.
There are no extra beds available.
No cots available
We are happy to help with making travel arrangements to the lake by organizing your private or public shuttle from the airport or any other destination in Guatemala.
We speak fluent Spanish, English and German.
We ask our guests to respect Mayan culture, other guests and our neighbors.
Please be aware that, as we are a restaurant, outside food or drinks are not permitted in any areas of EL PICNIC.

Tzununa is accessible by four-wheel drive, we do not own a parking lot; however, there is paid parking in a nearby lot. Please let us know at the time of your booking if you'd like us to arrange parking for you.
You can easily reach us by public boat from Panajachel, Santa Cruz la Laguna, Jaibalito, San Marcos la Laguna, San Juan and San Pedro. At the Tzununa pier simply ask a tuk tuk driver to take you to EL PICNIC, or we will gladly arrange for a tuk tuk to be waiting upon your arrival.
